At Good Shepherd Apostolic Faith Church, we believe a strong walk with God begins with a strong foundation in His Word. Under the leadership of Elder Douglas C. Fields, our ministry is committed to teaching the whole counsel of God with clarity, depth, and love.
Elder Fields first received the Holy Ghost while serving in Germany as a soldier in the United States Army. This life changing encounter ignited his passion for God’s truth and set the course for his lifelong ministry. He and his late wife Gloria were married for 44 years and blessed to raise eight children, instilling in them the values of faith, family, and service.
After his military service, Elder Fields dedicated many years as a teacher in the Pitt County Public School System where he was known for not only educating minds but also sharing God’s love with the children he taught. A teacher at heart, Elder Fields blends a love for biblical history with sound Apostolic doctrine. His teaching helps believers understand Scripture in its fullness and apply it to daily living.
Every message is designed to strengthen faith, deepen understanding, and build a life firmly rooted in the Word.

Amanda Fields, Administrator & Worship Leader

Born and raised in the Apostolic Faith, Amanda Fields has dedicated her life to serving both God and people with compassion, excellence, and love. Rooted deeply in biblical truth and Apostolic doctrine, she faithfully serves as the Administrator and Worship Leader at Good Shepherd Apostolic Faith Church, where her heart for worship and ministry helps create an atmosphere where lives are transformed by the presence of God.
Amanda carries a strong passion for healing, outreach, and discipleship. Professionally, she serves as a Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina, working closely with high-risk and underserved communities. Through her medical ministry, she is committed to bringing hope, care, and compassion to individuals and families who need it most. She believes true healing touches both the body and the soul.
Beyond the church walls, Amanda actively serves in community outreach efforts, including ministry through Joy Soup Kitchen, where she helps reach the lost, encourage the broken, and extend the love of Christ to those facing difficult circumstances. Her life reflects a genuine burden for people often overlooked and forgotten.
Amanda also has a special love for children and youth. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation, helping young people discover their identity in Christ while building strong spiritual foundations that will guide them throughout life.
Whether leading worship, serving the community, or caring for patients, Amanda’s mission remains the same: to glorify God, love people, and help others experience healing, hope, and restoration through Jesus Christ.
